A private funeral service will be held today for Irene A. Dinger, 1360 Robertson Road, Hermitage. She passed away peacefully of natural causes at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. She was 85.
A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Dinger was born Wednesday, April 25, 1923, in Sharon, a daughter of Michael and Agnes Mikluscak Dorus.
She graduated from Sharon High School.
A homemaker, Mrs. Dinger belonged to Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex.
Some of her hobbies included playing board games with her family, as well as playing bingo and cards.
Her husband, Darrell Junior Dinger passed away in 1981.
Surviving are: her three daughters, Betty A. Hinds, Hubbard; Barbara J. Runyan and her husband Joseph, Cleveland; and Glenda I. Brannon, Akron; four sons, Thomas Dinger and his wife Alice, Greensboro, N.C.; Edward Dinger, West Middlesex; Michael Dinger, Hermitage; and William Dinger, at home; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dinger was preceded in death by three brothers, John and Edward Dorus, and an infant, Joseph Dorus.
