Ida Irene Kopan, formerly of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, in St. John XXII Home, Hermitage. She was 93.
Mrs. Kopan was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Nutwood, Trumbull County, one of five children born to George and Julia Bukovansky Hegedus. Ida retired in 1987 from the ARC of Mercer County, Hermitage, where she was a sewing instructor for many years.
Ida also worked in her early years as a sewing instructor for the former Singer Sewing Machine Co., Sharon. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon, for more than 50 years.
Her husband, Martin Kopan, whom she married May 3, 1941, passed away July 15, 1992. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria J. Hill, Lake Worth, Fla.; and a son, Martin D. Kopan, Virginia.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.

Funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday (11-28-15) in the chapel of America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
