Ian was born Ionel-Dorinel Vlase on June 4, 1986, in Slobazia, Romania. He came to this country July 14, 1991, as the son of Nancy Mackey Davis and was later adopted by his father, Gary A. Davis.

He was a 2005 graduate of Sharon High School.

Ian was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and NASCAR fan.

Ian was most at peace outdoors surrounded by nature, particularly near mountains or streams hunting and fishing.

A humble person, he always put the needs of those he loved above all else. Ian had the ability to fill a room with laughter, and his sense of humor will be sadly missed. We are better people and a stronger family who are eternally grateful for being able to have shared life with Ian.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Hannah Rominger, whom he married Nov. 2, 2014; his mother, Nancy Davis and her partner Daniel Grodecki, Hermitage; his father, Gary Davis and his wife Gayle, Marienville, Pa.; two sisters, Emily Davis, Cleveland, and Brendal Townsend and her husband Scott, Halifax, Nova Scotia; two brothers, Christian Davis, Jamestown, N.Y., and Daniel Mackey and his fiancee Lynne Sablack, Philadelphia; his maternal grandmother, Geraldine Dunston; an aunt, Susan Dunston; and a nephew, Xavier Townsend.

Also surviving are his father-in-law, Rick Rominger and his wife Maureen, Sharon; mother-in-law, Teresa Winebarger and her husband Roger; and brother-in-law, Ross Rominger and his wife Jamie, all Vilas, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the family.
