Howard E. Seybert, 91, of Hermitage, passed away Wednesday evening, April 1, 2026, in UPMC Shenango Valley, Farrell.

Mr. Seybert was born January 21, 1935, in Rimersburg, PA, a son of the late Wilber and Alberta (Miller) Seybert.

Howard honorably served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Hickory VFW, Post 6166, Hermitage.

He worked at Sharon Steel’s former Farrell plant for 37 years, retiring in 1993.

A 32nd Degree Free and Accepted Mason and member since 1961, Howard was a member of Kedron Lodge 389, West Middlesex, the New Castle Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, and a member of the Zem Zem Shrine Club, Erie.

His devoted wife of 70 years, Sylvia M. (Traister) Seybert, whom he married October 15, 1955, survives at their home in Hermitage.

Howard is also survived by two daughters, Karen Mallorie Gerber (Howard), of Apopka, FL, and Marsha J. Saylor (Thomas), of Harrisville, PA; two granddaughters, LeeAnn Mallorie and Lorin Mallorie; two great-grandsons; a brother, John Seybert, of Farrell; a sister, Sharon Wilson (Thomas), of Rimersburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilber Seybert, Jr. and Donald Seybert; and a sister, Betty Fletcher.

A Masonic Service will be offered by Kedron Lodge 389 at 1 p.m., with a memorial service to be held immediately following, officiated by Rev. Randy Emmorey.

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
