Henry F. Rhoades, Jr., of Burghill, OH, passed away following a brief illness at 2:06 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA. He was 66.

Henry was born January 31, 1952, in Indiana, PA, a son of Henry F. Rhoades, Sr. and Irene (Marshallick) Rhoades. He was a graduate of Blairsville High School, Blairsville, PA. Henry was employed for almost 30 years at Salem Tube, Transfer. He held various roles during his employment there and retired in 2015.

Henry enjoyed bowling and belonged to many leagues at Sunset Lanes, Farrell and later worked there. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed cutting grass and fishing.

He is survived by a daughter, Amy Ludwig, Latrobe, PA; three sons, Matthew Rhoades and his wife Kristin, Burghill; David Crain and his wife Dottie, Unity, PA; and Jesse Rhoades and his wife Alyssa, Sharon; seventeen grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Collins, Richmond, VA; and Annetta Miller; a brother, John Rhoades and his wife Janet, both of Lucerne Mines, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Dorothy and Leona; and three brothers, Billy, George and Dave.

Calling hours will be 2 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday ( 05/06/2018 ) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St ., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, with Rev. Anthony Kladitis, pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church, Hermitage, officiating.
