Helen Petrucci, a former longtime resident of Sharon and Hermitage, passed away
Saturday
afternoon, May 19, 2018, in Abington (Pa.) Memorial Hospital.
She was 85.
Mrs. Petrucci was born September 18, 1932, in Sharon, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Anna (Parimuhah) Potprasky.
She was a graduate of Sharon High School and a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
Helen moved to Willow Grove, Pa. in 2004 and was a member of St. David Church.
Her husband, G. William Petrucci, whom she married in 1953, passed away in 1974.
Surviving are: a son, William Petrucci and his wife Sheila, of Maple Glen, Pa.; a daughter, Karen Petrucci, of Abington, Pa.; nine grandchildren, including Ashley whom she raised and was the love of her life; 4 great grandchildren; and a son-in-law, John McPartland, of Hulett, Wyoming.
Besides her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail McPartland, who passed away in 1999; a son, Richard Petrucci, who passed away in 1979; four sisters, Mary Misinay, Ann Massuri, Kay Glus and Sue Monsman; and two brothers, John and Joseph Potprasky.
Helen enjoyed cooking and was well known for her delicious Christmas cookies.
She was also an ardent fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins.

9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018

11 a.m.
Thursday
in St. Joseph Church, Sharon, with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
