Helen Joyce Lee

Helen Joyce Lee, 83, of Shenango Twp. passed away March 31, 2026, in her home.

Mrs. Lee was born on June 21, 1942, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Lewis and Helen (Mogor) Reiber. After graduating from West Middlesex High School in 1959, she attended Slippery Rock University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education.

Helen lived in many cities throughout the country, teaching in most of them. Later in life, she returned home and taught at West Middlesex Elementary School.

Helen was formerly a member of Living Word Church, New Wilmington, where she also taught Sunday School. She also attended Lebanon Presbyterian in West Middlesex.

A talented writer, Helen often submitted articles to the local newspaper. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her son, Jay.

Her husband of many years, Elmore C. Lee, preceded her in death on September 1, 2010.

Helen is survived by a brother, Lewis “Dennis” Reiber, and his wife, Paula, of Hermitage.

Helen’s son, Jay A. Runk, also passed away of natural causes on March 31, 2026, in the family home.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service at this time.
