Helen L. Kusnir of Farrell passed away at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 93.

Ms. Kusnir was born September 19, 1924, in Sharon, a daughter of Michael and Mary (Yevchak) Kusnir. She attended the former St. Ann's Parochial Grade School, Farrell, and was a 1942 graduate of Farrell High School. Helen retired January 31, 1971, from the former First National Bank, later becoming Seneca Bank, State St., Sharon, where she worked as a teller for 36 years.

She was an active member of the former St. Ann's Church, Farrell, where she served as a lector and sang in the church choir. Helen also belonged to the Ladies Sodality and Altar Rosary Society.

An avid bowler, she participated in the "Bowlerettes" league on Wednesday morning, and "Pinsetters" league on Friday morning, both at Sunset Lanes, Farrell.

She is survived by two nieces, Jacqueline Miller, Fla.; and Kathleen Clayton and her husband Forrest, Sharpsville; a nephew, John Robert Kusnir and his wife Linda, Masury, OH; and several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary Maykowski, Anna Miklos and infant Margaret Kusnir; and two brothers, Michael P. Kusnir, Jr., and John A. Kusnir.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John XXIII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Fwy., Hermitage, PA 16148.

There are no calling hours.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday (05/24/2018) in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell , with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Ann's Cemetery, Hermitage.
