Obituary
Helen E. 'Dolly' Scheuermann of 588 Fisher Hill, Sharon, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 9:25 a.m. in Sharon Regional Health Systems with her family by her side. She was 84.
Mrs. Scheuermann was born in Farrell, PA on January 19, 1927, a daughter of Samuel and Mary Santell Trozzo.
She was a 1944 graduate of Farrell High School.
Helen was a homemaker most of her life. Prior to marriage, she was employed at Sharon Transformer Division of the Westinghouse Corporation as a coil winder. Helen also assisted in the kitchen at the Sharon Moose.
Mrs. Scheuermann was a member of St. Joseph's Church. Helen also belonged to the American Carpatho-Russian Citizens and Social Club Women's Auxiliary where she worked in their kitchen. Most of all Helen loved having her family over for dinner and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren as 'Yam'.
She is survived by, her husband, Robert C. Scheuermann, Sr., whom she married April 17, 1952; 4 sons, Robert C. Scheuermann, Jr. of Jefferson Twp. Richard Scheuermann of Elizabeth, PA, Keith Scheuermann of Hermitage, and William and his wife Tammy Scheuermann of Hermitage; 9 grandchildren, Robert C. Scheuermann III, Stephanie C. Scheuermann and Courtney E. Abbott and her husband George, Richard A., Carissa M. and Chelsy N. Scheuermann, Casey M., Johnna L., and Aliza D. Scheuermann; 2 great grandchildren, Isabella and Evan Abbott.
Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline 'Jackie' Scheuermann who passed away in January; an infant son, Roger Scheuermann; 2 sisters, Margaret 'Molly' Iorio and Rose 'Rosie' Bateman; She was also preceded in death by an infant brother.
Calling Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011 in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146. There will also be calling hours one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Saturday.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Campbell, parochial vicar, St. Joseph Church, Sharon, officiating.
Internment will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
