Helen Dardynski, formerly of New Castle, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011, in Evergreen, Colorado at age 90.
Helen was born in Boyers, Pa., the daughter of Andrew and Philomina Print. Some of her many gifts included sewing and cake decorating. She was an avid reader as well as a die hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan, continuing to root for them even while living in Colorado. Her fun-loving demeanor and quick wit earned her the nickname of 'Hellcat' at the care facility where she resided, delighting her family, staff and fellow residents with her humor, sense of playfulness, and caring personality. She was happiest when helping anyone in need.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Lynda Kennedy of Castle Pines, Colorado; her son Larry Dardynski of Silt, Colorado; daughter Beth Dardynski of Cozumel, Mexico; daughter Kay Lynn "Charlie" Mazza of Evergeen, Colorado; her two brothers, Edward Print and Donald Print of New Castle; sister Anna Belle Lowry of Pueblo, Colorado; sister Grace Papst of Cedar Park, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Dardynski. She will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren and everyone whose life she touched.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 22, 2011, in Mary, Mother of Hope Parish at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Victor J. Molka Jr., pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
