Private services will be held for Helen Bock, Valrico, Fla., formerly of Hermitage, who passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 15, 2015, in Brandon (Fla.) Regional Hospital. She was 85.
Mrs. Bock was born in Yugoslavia on Jan. 24, 1930, a daughter of Josef and Magdalena Horvath Gruber.
She was an active member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Sharon, where she loved volunteering for various church functions. She loved gardening and cooking and was constantly pursued by family members for her gourmet cookies.
Her husband, John J. Bock, whom she married Nov. 11, 1947, preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2007.
Helen was well known by many for continuing the meticulous maintenance of their residence on Morefield Road in Hermitage long after John's death.
Surviving are: three sons, Josef Bock and his wife Elizabeth, Huntington Valley, Pa.; Walter "Wally" Bock and his wife Karlann, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; and Stephan "George" Bock and his wife Susan, Valrico; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three great-grandsons; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
