Hedwig "Hedy" Beighley (Ruppercht) of Sharon, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 76.

Mrs. Beighley was born February 17, 1940 in Bad Konigshofen, Germany, a daughter of Rudolf Ruppercht and Elisabetha (Mock) Ruppercht. Hedy was raised and educated in Germany.

She met and married Donald E. Beighley in 1961. He was an American Soldier stationed in Germany. They moved to the United States together in 1965.

Hedy was a homemaker much of her life; in 1984 she began delivering newspapers for the Vindicator and later the Herald for a total of 32 years.

Hedy enjoyed gardening, cross stitching, spending time with her grandchildren, watching cooking shows and cooking the family holiday meals.

Surviving are: two sons, Lester C. Beighley Sr. and his wife Debra; and William G. Beighley, both of Sharon; a sister, Rosemarie Elsa Taylor, IL; a brother, Rudolf Mock, Germany; three grandchildren, Gregory Beighley and his wife Jessica, Mercer; Lester C. Beighley Jr. and his fiance' Jessica Terlitsky, Sharon; Angelica Rose Brown and her husband Michael Sr., Greenville; 11 great grandchildren, Nathan, Xander, Gavin, Mathew, Joshua and Kelsey Beighley; Michael Jr., Zackery and Jasper Brown; Samantha Mortimer; and Hunter Krznar.

Besides her husband, Donald E. Beighley, Hedy was preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters, Eugenie Mock, Elizabeth Ruppercht, Gerlinda Mock and Katharina Ruppercht.

Calling hours will be Monday (10/24/2016) from Noon to 2:00p.m. in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.


Services will be Monday (10/24/2016) at 2:00p.m. in the funeral home.

Interment: Morefield Cemetery.
