Heather R. Chuba, 40, of Sharon passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019, following an extended illness.
Ms. Chuba was born April 20, 1978, in Sharon, a daughter of Edward and Kathleen "Katie" (Akers) Chuba. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1996 and attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Heather was employed by Lock Stock & Barrel, Sharpsville, where she worked as an assistant manager for 15 years. Most recently, she provided personal pet care services for several families in the Shenango Valley.
Heather was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church, Hermitage.
An avid reader, she also loved spending time with her longtime boyfriend, Chris Joseph, and enjoyed caring for her cats, whom she truly adored.
In addition to her parents, Heather is survived by her brother, Michael Chuba, and his son, Mason Chuba, both of Dallas, TX.
Heather was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Norman and Esther Akers; and her paternal grandparents, George and Anne Chuba.
Calling hours will be 4 p.m. until the offering of the Panachida service Thursday (2-28-19) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. Panachida service will be offered at 6:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday (3-1-19) in St. John's Orthodox Church,
3180 Morefield Rd, Hermitage, PA 16148, with Father David Mastroberte, officiating. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church.
Interment: St. John's Cemetery, Hermitage.
