Hazel Marion Zamary, Hermitage, formerly of Struthers, Ohio, passed away on natural causes at 1:31 a.m. at her residence. She was 82.
Mrs. Zamary was born on March 21, 1929 In Ottawa, Canada, the daughter of John and Alma Malba Fox.
She graduated from High School in Ottawa and later from the Ottawa Business College where she studied to be a legal secretary.
A homemaker, she worked for a short while in both Ottawa and in Ohio as a legal secretary.
For most of her life she lived in Struthers, Ohio, and belonged to Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Catholic Church, Youngstown, later, she moved to Hermitage and attended Church of the Notre Dame.
She held office for many years with the Struthers Historical Society, and the Struthers Library. She was also a member of the Snappy Herb Society and the Local AARP.
Her husband Thomas W. Zamary whom she married in October of 1951, passed away in August of 1986.
She is survived by her son William Zamary with whom she lived, two grandsons, Devin and Thomas Zamary, both of Hermitage; two sisters, Jacqueline Birchill and her husband Taylor, Ottawa, and Joan Overton, of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage or to the Knights of Columbus Council 4003 through the funeral home.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (7-7-11) in Church of the Notre Dame with Rev. Edward J. Zeitler, Senior Associate of the church, and Rev. Joseph Zamary, nephew of the deceased concelebrating. There will be no procession on the morning of the funeral, everyone is asked to go directly to the church.
Interment: St. John's Cemetery, Lowellville, Ohio.
