Harry D. Means of Sandy Lake, PA, formerly of Sharon and Mercer, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in his residence. He was 68.

Mr. Means was born February 21, 1949, in Sharpsville, a son of Hiram and Evelyn (Nolan) Means. He was a 1967 graduate of Sharpsville High School and was the owner of Harry Means Plumbing until he retired in 2011.

An avid outdoorsman, Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding atv's. He was a member and past Master of the Free and Accepted Masons, Kedron Lodge #387, West Middlesex; a member of the Zem Zem Shrine Club, Erie; the New Castle Consistory; and the Sandy Lake Sportsman Club.

Surviving are: his companion of 22 years, Barbara (Moreland) Means, whom he married on February 6, 2017; a daughter, Connie Minteer and her husband Jeff, Hermitage; a son, Chad Means and his wife Missy, Brookfield, OH; six grandchildren, Courtney Means, Dylan Means, Josh Fisher, Hailey Minteer, Jessie Minteer and Marissa Unverdorben; a great grandchild, Wyatt Minteer; three sisters, Laverne Newton, Mercer; Carol Haun and her companion Gregory Russo, Walterboro, SC; and Beverly Morris and her husband Richard, Newnan, GA; a sister in law, Ruth Means, Hubbard, OH; and a brother in law, Tom DeJulia, Mercer.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by three sisters, Delores Rossi, Sandy DeJulia and Shirley Holsaphel; and four brothers, Charles, Gene, Lee and Earl Means.

The family suggest memorials be made to Hunt of a Lifetime Foundation, 6297 Buffalo Rd, Harborcreek, PA, 16421.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 , and 1 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday , in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017 , in the funeral home
