IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Harriett
Guido
April 5, 1940 – May 14, 2025
It is with profound sadness and grief that we announce the passing of Harriett Ida Levy Guido. After an extended illness, she peacefully passed away on May 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Mrs. Guido was born on April 5, 1940, in Dubois, PA, a daughter of the late Archie and Marjorie (Tice) Levy. She was a 1957 graduate of New Castle High School. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology at Youngstown State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Harriett successfully owned and operated Harriett L. Guido Counseling Services. Throughout her career, she had offices throughout the Shenango Valley. Harriett helped countless family members, clients, and strangers with the profound gift of listening. She retired from her location in Brookfield, OH.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, precious "Oma", treasured friend, confidant to all, and lifelong learner.
Harriett was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex.
Throughout her life, she had been active in Beta Sigma Phi; the Urban League; the former Sharon College Club; a charter member of the Shenango Valley Children's Transplant Fund; served on the board and the former secretary of CCC (Community Counseling Center); and served on the board of AWARE.
She is survived by her husband Rocco Guido. They shared nearly 66 beautiful years of marriage and 72 total years together. In addition, she is survived by her son, Michael Guido and his partner, Birgit Meir; her daughter, Sherry Guido Forner and her husband Robert; and three granddaughters, Sarah Forner and her fiancé, Eric Pretzlav; Emma Forner and her fiancé, Casey Smith; and Rebecca Guido and her partner, Kaylian De Lange, who are expecting Harriett's great-grandson, Rocco; a sister-in-law, Mary Levy; and a niece, Amy Skelton.
In addition to her parents, Harriett was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Levy.
She reminded us that love and gratitude are our greatest gifts.
Harriett lived a beautiful, full life and she will always be within us.
