Harriet M. Moyer of Sharon passed away at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017, in Clepper Manor CCRC, Sharon. She was 80.

Mrs. Moyer was born October 5, 1936, in Greenville, a daughter of Harry and Louise (Patterson) Gilliland.

Harriet was employed for many years as a bartender at the former Glass Tower Bar, Masury, OH; and later worked for the former Hollywood Lounge, now the Happywood, also Masury. She enjoyed country and western music, dancing and traveling.

Her husband William Moyer, whom she married on December 15, 1994, passed away April 25, 2003.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Hanrahan, Sharon; and Sandra Leggit and her husband Bill, Alexandria, LA; four sons, James Robert Parquette and his wife Carol, Chicago, IL; Ronald Parquette and his wife Paula, Nampa, ID; Daniel Parquette and his longtime companion, Debra, Idaho Falls, ID; and Steven Parquette, Sharon; a sister, Marion Thome, Akron, OH; a brother, John Gilliland and his wife Gloria, Warren, OH; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Harriet was also preceded in death by her parents; her adoptive father, William Zahnizer; and three sisters, Peggy Keck, Pearl Buchanan and Nancy Kidd.

Calling hours will be 4 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday ( 09/07/17 ) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of I.H.S. Gospel Ministries, Hermitage, officiating.
