Guy Thomas Fleet of Sharon, formerly of Hermitage, passed away peacefully at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in Sharon Regional Medical Center. He was 65.
Tom was born May 6, 1952, in Grove City, a son of George I. and Mary C. (Porecca) Fleet. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1970 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage.
A Vietnam Era veteran, Tom served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.
He was most recently employed by CCL Container, Hermitage; and previously worked for Carine and Company, Sharon, for several years.
Tom was of the Catholic faith.
He enjoyed hunting and shooting pool. Tom loved spending time with his family, particularly his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are: his longtime companion with whom he made his home, Deanne Goodnight; two sons, Kristopher (Shannon) Fleet, and their daughter Star, Port St. Lucie, FL, and Michael Fleet and longtime companion, Sarina Koren, and their son, Alexander, Sharpsville; a stepson, Corry Scott, Hermitage; former spouse, Karen Stull, Sharon; and a brother, George (Cheryl) Fleet, Hermitage; and their daughter Stephanie Liscio, Cleveland, OH.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and a stepdaughter, Rachel Goodnight.
Calling hours will be 2:30 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday (1-30-18) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon .
Funeral service will be 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon, officiating.
Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
