Guido Eugene Pagliarini, a former longtime resident of Hermitage, passed away peacefully at 6:07 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in St. Paul's Home, West Salem Township. He was 96.
Mr. Pagliarini was born September 23, 1921, in Wishaw, PA, a son of Dominick and Anna (DeLuca) Pagliarini. He attended Sagamore (PA) High School and served four campaigns with the U.S. Army during WW II in the South Pacific. His wife, the former Leviana "Lee" Bellotti, whom he married April 26, 1947, passed away December 5, 2013.
Guido retired as a truck assembler in 1984 from the former General American Transportation Corp. (GATX), Masury, Ohio, where he was employed for 37 years. Many years previously, he worked as a coal miner in Sagamore.
Guido was an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex, and its Holy Name Society. He loved playing bocce and was a member of the Italian Home in Farrell and its bocce league. He was also a member of the American Legion. Guido was an avid hunter and gardener and enjoyed traveling. He and his wife, Lee, vacationed in Italy several times with family members.
Surviving are five children, Mary Lou DeRosa, Fairfield, CT; Robert Pagliarini and his wife Cathy, Sharon; Nancy Zamprelli, Atlanta, GA; John Pagliarini and his wife Susan, Denver, CO; and Daniel Pagliarini and his wife Vickie, Trumbull, CT; 13 grandchildren, who affectionately called him Woo Woo and whom he shared many hours of fun and play, Francesca Martilotta, John David DeRosa, Dominic DeRosa, Rhett Schenker, Cory and Casey Pagliarini; Luke and Adam Zamprelli; Dan and Rachel Pagliarini; Greg Hamill; and Charlie and Alex Pagliarini; and ten great grandchildren, Maddingly, Molly and Mark Martilotta; John Francis and Emma Leviana DeRosa; Hannah Glaven, Owen Schenker, Chloe and Colby Pagliarini; and Amethyst Hamill. He also leaves a sister, Anna (Pagliarini) Baroni and her husband Henry; two brothers-in-law, Ed Topic and Alexander Bellotti and his wife Jean; a sister-in-law, Adelaide "Della" Bellotti; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Guido was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ellio Mastri, Paul Pagliarini, Dominic Pagliarini and Robert Pagliarini; and three sisters, Antoinette Reddinger, Jenny Bresnock and Theresa Topic.

, in the church, with Rev. Glenn R. Whitman, pastor, as celebrant. Military honors will be rendered by the West Middlesex VFW, Wheatland American Legion and Farrell VFW Honor Guard immediately following the Mass.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
