Greyson Josiah Lindey, of West Middlesex passed away while sleeping Saturday afternoon, October 2, 2021. He was 21 months old.

Greyson was born January 8, 2020, a son of Gregory Lindey and Kayla Smith. After arriving more than 14 weeks early, Greyson began his life faced with many obstacles.

Over the next seven and half months, Greyson battled to gain health and transitioned from UPMC MaGhee Woman's to UPMC Children's, both in Pittsburgh, PA. During this period, his courageous spirit inspired others, especially his family, and gave them hope that they could finally bring him home.

Greyson's unmatched spirit brought him to a place of health, and he was able to join his family for good. He was a loving and happy boy, full of energy and smarts. Greyson loved spending time with his father and grandparents, and especially enjoyed playing with his big brother, Liam.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kayla Smith, on February 28, 2020.

Greyson is survived by his father, Gregory Lindey, of West Middlesex; a brother, Liam Lindey; and a sister, McKenzie Smith; paternal grandparents, Edward and Laurie Lindey, Mercer, PA; and maternal grandmother, Darlene Smith, Sharon. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be immediately following at 4 p.m. Sunday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Bob Stauffer, officiating.
