Gregory J. Costello, passed away at his residence at 3:30 a.m. Saturday (7-11-15) surrounded by family following a brief illness. He was 63. Greg was born August 9, 1951 in Sharon one of four children born to John F. and Betty Stewart E. Costello. A lifelong area resident, Greg was a member of Sharon High Schools class of 1971. He retired with 40 years of service from Wheatland Tube on July 4, 2015. A veteran, he proudly served his country and received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corp. Greg loved being with his family and spending time at his camp in Marienville, Pa. Surviving are his son Christopher Costello and his wife Christina, Erie, his daughter Megan Johnson and her husband Keith, Niles, Oh, two sisters, Patty Mattson and her husband Bruce of West Middlesex, Carol Rueberger and her husband Alex of Sharpsville, six grandchildren, Chloe, Shelby, Alexis, Cheyanne, Aiden, and Elle. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Jeff Costello. Calling hours: 4: 00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday (7-15-15) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon. Services: 7:00 p.m. Wednesday (7-15-15) in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Sawtelle associate pastor of Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church, Niles, Oh, officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the West Middlesex VFW Post No. 6233 Honor Guard and the Wheatland American Legion Post No. 432 Honor Guard. Cremation will follow.
