Gracie Harper of 405 Park Ave. New Castle, passed away in the morning on February 11, 2009 at her residence. She was 80.
She was born on January 18, 1929 in New Castle, to the parents of William and Marion Bowater Trick.
Gracie was a 1949 graduate of New Castle High School.
She was employed for the New Castle Area School District as a secretary to the superintendent. Gracie also worked for the James A. Rugh Agency as a secretary.
Her memberships include Mary, Mother of Hop Ladies Guild and the 500 Club of the church.
Her husband, George Harper, whom she married August, 29, 1952, passed away on January 9, 2002.
Gracie is survived by, a daughter, Kim T. Cappabianco of New Castle; 2 sons, Kris Harper of Poland, OH and Kelly Harper of Columbus, OH; 2 sisters, Irene Rupert of Portland, OR and Kate Campbell of New Castle; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by; her parents; husband; a brother, William B. Trick.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feburay 13, 2009 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematroy, 111 W. Falls St. New Castle, PA 16101
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. John Rebel, pastor of St. James the Apostle Church in New Bedford.
Internment will be at Graceland Cemetery
