Gloria A. Nagy, 84, a longtime resident of Griswold St., Sharon, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Monday evening, May 11, 2026.
Mrs. Nagy was born April 18, 1942, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Meszaros) Rakoci. A lifelong area resident, she attended St. Adalbert Parochial School and graduated from Farrell High School in 1959.
Early in her life, she worked as a secretary at the former Sharon Transformer Div. of Westinghouse Electric, and after raising her children, worked as a manager at Fashion Bug in Hermitage for over 20 years.
Gloria was a member of the former St. Adalbert’s Church, Farrell.
A devoted wife, caring mother, and adoring grandmother, Gloria devoted her life to family, who all brought her profound joy. Gloria was the energy, light, and laughter of all friends and family gatherings.
Her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard W. Nagy, whom she married on April 16, 1966, preceded her in death on June 22, 2024.
Gloria is survived by a daughter, Michelle DeBlasio (Donald); a son, Richard Nagy (Lisa); six grandchildren, Elayna, Nolan, and Roman Nagy, and Angelina, Ariana, and Donny DeBlasio; a sister, Olga Metro (Gene); a brother, Donald Rakoci (Nancy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Rakoci, III; and a sister, Donna Rakoci Baker.
In keeping with her wishes, all services will be held privately.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Hermitage.
