Gerald R. Mondok

Gerald R. Mondok, 88, of Sharon, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Clepper Manor, Sharon.

Mr. Mondok was born on August 28, 1937, in Sharon, a son of the late Gerald and Hilda (Krawitz) Mondok. He was a 1956 graduate of Hickory High School and honorably served in the U.S. Army in the 7th Cavalry as a radioman.

Gerald worked in the office of Sharon Steel’s former Farrell plant for 34 years.

An avid dog handler, he and his family showed dogs across the country, winning countless awards. He was a member of the Trumbull County Kennel Club, the English Setter Club of Ohio, and the English Setter Association of America.

Gerry was also a talented painter; some of his works were shown at the Butler Institute in Youngstown, OH.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Pauline Fredrickson, whom he married on December 22, 1960.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Misty Ann Mondok Myers.
