IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Georgianne Reider
Latcheran
December 23, 1953 – June 5, 2025
Georgianne Reider Latcheran, 71, of Vienna, Ohio, formerly of New Castle, Pennsylvania, passed away the evening of June 5, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, after health complications.
Georgianne was born on December 23, 1953, at Jameson Memorial Hospital, a son of the late George and Anna Theis Reider.
She was a 1971 graduate of New Castle High School and attended Slippery Rock University before matriculating to Clarion University of Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.
Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Georgianne moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to become a second-grade teacher for a short period of time, followed by working for Copperweld Steel Company as an Executive Administrator to the Executive Vice President. She'd always let others know that her time spent at the latter were a part of the good 'ole days. Subsequent to these positions, Georgianne took time away from her career to focus on her family, raise her children, and support her husband on promotions that required relocations throughout the cities of St. Clairsville, Ohio; Syracuse, New York; and Burlington, Vermont. She ultimately settled in Vienna, Ohio, to be closer with family. When her children grew older, she decided to enter the job market once again until her passing. The one position she was quite proud of was at Liberty Health Care Center (part of the Windsor House Inc. network) as a Concierge. One of her many passions was helping families with their loved ones. This Center also assisted her in creating life-long friendships that she cherished.
Georgianne was such an important and amazing beacon of light that touched many lives throughout her years. She took such great pride in her friends and family as her world would always revolve around them. She would often discuss the entertaining "Montezuma" (street she lived on in Syracuse, New York) moments that were very close to her heart. Her Syracuse friends were very central to her, and she loved them very much. From a family perspective, there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them. Her family was everything, especially her children and grandchildren. She would instantly toss away plans just to be able to hear her grandchildren laugh and see them play. She was amazed by their abilities and their gravitating personalities. She was Gigi to them.
Furthermore, the support she would provide to her children was unwavering. Georgianne made her son and daughter her life. Soccer was the main sport played by her children, and she would attend every game on the schedule. There were many times where she would jump out of her seat to cheer or give referees her biased opinion. In addition to supportive, she was loving, caring, compassionate, and known for her contagious smile.
Surviving are her son, George Daniel and his wife Gina Marie of Strongsville, Ohio; her daughter, Anna Elizabath of Cleveland, Ohio; three grandchildren, Sophia Marie, Olivia Grace, and Lucas George. Siblings include her brother, Paul Anthony Reider and his wife Helen Marie of Canfield, Ohio; her sister, Marsha Ann Leonhardt and her husband Martin Charles of Norwood, Pennsylvania.
Georgianne was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Steven Latcheran, whom she married on October 16, 1976, and her parents.
