Genevieve A. Williams, 85, of Sharon, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, June 8, 2026, in her home.
Ms. Williams was born February 12, 1941, in Wheatland, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Bernard) Kmetz. She was a 1959 graduate of Hickory High School in Hermitage, and later in life completed several accounting courses.
For many years, Genevieve worked as a payroll clerk for Cyclops Tubular, Sharon, which was later acquired by Wheatland Tube.
Genevieve was of the Catholic faith and a former member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, she especially enjoyed watching the Penguins and Sidney Crosby.
Gen enjoyed traveling to the New England states, Quebec, Ontario, and Hilton Head. She was a constant, smiling presence at any event that included her sons or grandchildren. And, while their time together was brief, Gen would have most certainly been there to support her great-grandson, Luca. We’ll be sure to let him know how special she was.
Her grandchildren promise to take her advice and “never get old”.
Genevieve is survived by two sons, Randy Williams (Robyn), of Pittsburgh, PA, and Mark Williams, of Sharon; four grandchildren, Jenna Landry (Geoffrey), Jonathon Williams, Jordan Williams, and Mathieu Williams; and a great-grandson, Luca Landry.
In addition to her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her sister, Rosalie Sulecki.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to the St. Joseph Food Pantry.
