Gary Richard Weir, 69, of Sharon passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, in his residence.

Mr. Weir was born May 22, 1952, in Ellwood City, a son of the late Leonard and Stella Mae (Thompson) Weir.

Gary had a long career as a bounty hunter working for Ann Cook Bail Bond Services, New Castle.

Gary enjoyed bingo, hunting, fishing, hotrods and going to flea markets.  He was a history buff and had lively conversations with friends and family regarding politics.   Gary liked listening to all genres of music, but his favorite was Bruce Springsteen.  Drawing birds was one of his treasured hobbies, especially drawing eagles in the beauty of the wilderness.  Gary was a man of many talents, but his most important job was being a father/mother to his son, Gary Eugene.  Above all, he loved spending time with his family, in particular his grandkids.

He is survived by his son, Gary Eugene (Jennifer) Weir, Sharon; sister, Susan Weir, South Carolina; niece, Connie Williams Sharon; and three grandchildren, Trenton, Bentley and Leeland Weir.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by two brothers; Dale and Walter Weir, four sisters; Edna "Peggy" Weir Fox Rankin Woods, Betty Ann D'Amico, Sally Scopack and Leona Weir.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
