Gary Hailey, Sr. passed away unexpectedly at 9:32 p.m. Wednesday (12-1-10) in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell. He was 53.

Mr. Hailey was born August 15, 1957 in Sharon a son of Elijah and Lillie Bell (Chambers) Hailey.

He was a graduate of Brookfield High School and was formerly employed as a burner at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant for ten years.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Theresa J. Alger, whom he married April 15, 2005; a daughter, Brianna Hailey, Brookfield; three sons, Gary Hailey, Jr., Grove City, PA; Tyler Hailey, Brookfield; and Antwone Hailey, Sandy Lake; a brother, Samuel Hailey, El Paso, Texas; a granddaughter, Nadia Hailey; a step-daughter, Tabitha Barr, Hermitage; and two step-sons, Brandon Barr, Grove City; and George Barr, III, Mercer.

Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by three brothers, Mark Todd Hailey, Elijah Hailey and James Hailey.

Graveside service will be Saturday (12-11-10) in Brookfield Twp. (Ohio) Cemetery at 11 a.m. with burial to follow.
