Gary W. Longwell, II, 49, of Sharon, passed away Monday afternoon, October 14, 2024, in his home.

Gary was born on March 23, 1975, in Sharon, a son of Gary and Sharon (Kloss) Longwell. He was a 1994 graduate of Sharon High School.

He was employed by the Arc of Mercer County (MCAR) and looked forward to working at the car wash. Gary had many friends at MCAR and looked forward to participating in the Special Olympics.

Gary was very friendly, had a good sense of humor, and liked to be out in the community. He had a personality that made it easy for him to make friends everywhere he went. He also loved bowling, bocce, the Pittsburgh Steelers and attending Waterfire in downtown Sharon.

He is survived by his father, Gary Longwell I and his significant other, Frances Sherry, Farrell; a nephew, Christopher Longwell, Sharon; and many aunts and uncles.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother and his sister, Pauline Longwell.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Arc of Mercer County, 850 North Hermitage Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.
