Gail F. Burton, 70, of West Middlesex passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her home.

Gail was born August 18, 1953, in Harlem, NY a daughter of Alexander and Barbara (Howard) Burton. She was a 1971 graduate of Dodge Vocational High School and completed an associate degree in computer science from Bronx Community College, both in Bronx, NY.

Gail worked as an accounts payable clerk at the Bair Foundation in New Wilmington, PA.

Gail loved to cook and was famously known for cooking her "arroz con gandules" and Roast Pork. In addition to working in her garden growing plants and vegetables, Gail also enjoyed decorating during the holidays.  She was very fond of her cat, loved to watch movies, and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

Gail is survived by a son, Dwayne Lopez (fiancé, Heather Thomas), Sharpsville; three sisters, Beverly Edgecombe, Pembroke Pines, FL, Michelle Howard, Manhattan, NY, and Yvette Service, Fishkill, NY; three brothers, Christopher, Anthony and Alexander Burton; seven grandchildren, Jazmin Lopez, Monique Lopez, Victoria Popovitch, Tre'von Devito, Amara Lopez, Dominick Lopez, and Gianni Lopez; a great-granddaughter, Symira Footman; six nieces, Nicole Edgecombe, Lisa Howard, Sharonda Service, Cessanie Service, Sadie Service, Madison Caceres; four nephews, Phil Edgecombe, Ronald Service Jr., Ryan Navas, Paris Navas; and a host of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

A Celebration of Gail's Life will be held immediately following at 2 p.m. Saturday, in the funeral home, with Pastor T. Harrison, officiating.
