Frenchie Suber, 72, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly the morning of Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the Cleveland Clinic. Frenchie was born Dec. 25, 1942, in Inchon, Korea. She came to the United States in 1962, leaving all that she knew behind her to be with Donnie, the love of her life. She embraced her life here and lived the American dream. Frenchie went to beauty school and eventually became the owner of Frenchie's Beauty Salon for more than 20 years. Frenchie's greatest joy was her husband of 49 years Donald J. Suber, whom she married Dec. 26, 1962, and who preceded her in death Nov. 20, 2010. Her other greatest joys were her three daughters, Deneen M. Suber of Medina, Ohio, Jodi A. (Chad) Suber of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Patricia L. (Douglas) Jenkins of Commodore, Pa., and five grandchildren, Samantha, Connor, Madison, Jason and Riley. She and Donnie, her brother-in-law and her sister-in-law loved to go dancing and they spent many weekends at different dance halls "tearing up the dance floor." Her humor was legendary among those who knew her. She was always ready to share a joke or play a prank. She was also known for her love and compassion. She cared deeply for her friends and customers. Her kindness and big heart epitomized who she was. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. For such a tiny person, her presence loomed large for all of us who knew and loved her, and our world is a little less bright without her in it. While she will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to have had her in their lives, we know that she is dancing at the gates of Heaven with her husband and true love, Donnie. Calling hours will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Ronald Mounts. Interment will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
