Franz J. Fellner, 486 S. Mercer Ave., Sharpsville, PA passed away at 6:55 a.m. on Monday (4-26-10) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was 84.
Mr. Fellner was born February 10,1926 in Austria, he was the son of Joseph and Maria Fellner Krenn. He attended schools in Austria and immigrated to the United States.
Franz worked at the former Sharon Steel Corporation's Farrell plant as a manipulator and he retired in 1988 with more than 30 years of service.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Church and the Apollo-Maenerchor Club, both Sharon.
Before immigrating to the United States, he served with the German Army in Europe. His first wife, the former Rosalia Springmann, whom he married in July of 1950, passed away December 28, 1989.
He is survived by his second wife Ludmilla Steckler Turuck whom he married February 10, 1990; two daughters, Rosmarie Thomas and her husband Mike, Alabama, Barbara Fellner, Youngstown, OH; two sons, Frank Fellner and his wife Rhonda, Austin TX and Walter Fellner, Hermitage; a stepdaughter, Katherina Lyden and her husband Timothy, and a step son, Walter Turuck and his wife Rose, Hermitage; four sisters, Maria Muralter, Steffani Godl and Brigite Putzer, and Hermina Hostettler, all of Europe; seven grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, and great granddaughter, and five brothers and sisters in Austria.
The family suggests memorial contribution may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated a 10:00 a.m. on Thursday (4-29-2010) in St. Anthony's Church, Sharon with Rev. Daniel J. Kresinski, pastor as the celebrant. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:25 a.m. for St. Anthony's Church.
Interment: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hermitage.
