Obituary

Frank J. Williott, 97, of Sharon, passed away at 8:53 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Williott was born October 24, 1920, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Louis and Mary Pasquale Vigliotti (Williott).  He attended East High School in Youngstown and served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the European Theatre.

Frank retired in 1990 as head of the maintenance department for the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation where he was employed for 33 years.  He previously worked at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant for eight years and was self employed delivering ice and coal.  He was a gifted carpenter and could fix most anything.

Frank was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell, where he was an usher at the 7 a.m. Mass for many years.  He was also a member of its Holy Name Society.  Frank was a member of the VFW, Post # 5286, and was an avid bowler at Sunset Lanes, both in Farrell.   He loved vegetable and flower gardening and attending his grandsons' (Frank) basketball games at Brookfield High School.

Surviving is his wife of 77 years, the former Jennie M. Agresti, whom he married June 21, 1941; a son, Gene L. Williott and his wife Patty, of Brookfield, Ohio; a sister, Helen DiTullio, of Youngstown; a brother, Tony Williott and his wife Helen, also of Youngstown; three grandchildren, Susan Johnson and her husband Kenny, of Masury; Patrick Vigliotti (Williott) and his wife Kelly, of Girard, Ohio; and Frank Williott, of Brookfield; two great grandchildren, Rachael Williott, of Sharpsville; and Mitchell Bartz, of Masury; a great great grandson, Gianni Gargiulo, of Sharpsville; a step great granddaughter, Jynger Benadum, of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Iacconi and Ann Brown; and three brothers-in-law, Dom DiTullio, Tom Brown and Augustine Iacconi.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018, in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, PA.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
