Frank A. Petrucci, Jr., 90, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully with family at his side Wednesday morning, January 1, 2025, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell.
Mr. Petrucci was born February 9, 1934, in Farrell, a son of the late Frank and Sarah (Moroco) Petrucci, and graduated from Farrell High School in 1953.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Frank served with the Anti-Aircraft Division at Fort Bliss, TX, for two years until being honorably discharged on February 10, 1956.
Frank retired as a parts buyer from the Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation (PennDOT) following 11 years of employment. He previously worked as an inspector at National Castings in Sharon for 20 years.
Frank was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex.
Frank was an avid archery hunter and enjoyed spending time working in his vegetable garden.
Above all else, he was a family man and cherished the time he was able to spend supporting his grandchildren in their many athletic, academic, and social achievements, and more recently, adoring his great-grandchildren.
His wife of 65 years, Jean "Dolly" (Agostino) Petrucci, whom he married May 16, 1959, preceded him in death on August 4, 2024.
Frank is survived by a daughter, Lori Lynn Marley (Timothy), and a son, Dr. Dean Anthony Petrucci (Leah), all of Hermitage; a sister, Shirley Watson, Philadelphia, PA; four grandchildren, Nickolas Adam (Ashley) and Megan Sue Marley, and Jennifer Leigh Nixon (Steve) and Jacob Anthony Petrucci; and four great-grandchildren, Alexander and Andrew Marley, Anastasia Hawkins, and Jade Nixon, a brother-in-law, Floyd Agostino, and his two daughters, Michelle Barbir (Lou) and Gina Lancia (Mike), all of Hermitage.
In addition to his parents and wife, Frank was preceded in death by a brother, William Petrucci; and a sister, Julia Stanton.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (1-8-25) in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3613 Sharon Rd., West Middlesex.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the church, with Rev. Glenn Whitman, as celebrant.
Military honors will be rendered by the Wheatland AL and West Middlesex VFW Honor Guard following Mass.
Entombment: St. Rose Mausoleum, Hermitage.
