Frank L. Morris, 90, of New Castle passed away on Wednesday at 7:35 p.m. October 25, 2017, at UPMC Montifore Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Frank was born in Pleasant Unity, PA, on May 21, 1927 to the late Raymond and Eva E. Fullerton Morris.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from July 27, 1945 until March 27, 1947. Serving in the European theatre of operations. He was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal and The World War II Victory Medal.
Frank was a very skilled Tool and Die maker and was employed by various manufactures for over sixty years. On November 6, 2004, he married the former Marilyn Sweesy and she survives him at home. He was of the Protestant faith. Frank was a 32nd degree Mason of the Mahoning New Castle Lodge 243, New Castle Scottish Rite Consistory and the New Castle Consistory Legion of Honor. He enjoyed wood working, loved fishing, being outdoors tending to his flower gardens, and socializing with others. Above all he loved his Dachshund, Ginger, who was his faithful companion.
Frank is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Pete) Mastropietro, Mt. Jackson; and Mona (Tony) Bucci, Wampum, PA; four step children, Rhonda (Joe) Clemons, Port Clinton, OH, Tracy (Brad) Reighley, Bradenton, FL, Cathy (Tom) Sanchez, Phoenix, AZ, and Rob (Channie) Polley, New Castle; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wives, Sophie Puz, and Mary Sipe; brother, William Morris; and two sisters, Thelma Shawley, and Eleanor Shawley.
Calling hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017, in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 W. Falls St. New Castle.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2017, in the funeral home by the Rev. Philip Harrison, pastor of First Alliance Church, New Castle.
Interment will be in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
