Obituary

Franco Bartolomucci of Sharpsville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 5, 2016, at his home. He was 65.

Mr. Bartolomucci was born March 13, 1951, in Castro Dei Volsci, Italy, a son of Angelo and Maria (D'Ambrosi) Bartolomucci.

In 1955 Franco's family moved from Italy to Sharpsville where he was raised and was a graduate of Sharpsville High School. Following graduation he owned and operated Franco's Meats, Sharpsville, and was well known for his delicious homemade sausage. Franco was also employed as a meat cutter for Giant Eagle, Austintown, until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville. Franco was also a member of the Sharpsville American Legion, Post #162 and the Sharpsville VFW Post #6404. He enjoyed driving his bright yellow corvette, making wine, working in the yard, being in the sun and strolling through the park with his daughter.

Surviving are: his wife of 38 years, the former Deborah Farina, whom he married June 10, 1978; and his daughter, Britni Bartolomucci, Sharpsville.

Franco was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Bartolomucci.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Bartholomew Church, 311 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, Pa 16150.

At Franco's request there are no calling hours.

A memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2016, in St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville, with Rev. Matthew Strickenberger, pastor, as celebrant

Entombment: St. Rose Cemetery Mausoleum, Hermitage.
