Frances M. Zickar of 1036 Hadley Ave, Sharon, formerly of 680 Wengler Ave, Sharon, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010 in her residence. She was 77.

Mrs. Zickar was born in Sharon, PA on November 26, 1932, a daughter of Joseph F. and Mary Catherine Formica Wiley.

She was a 1950 graduate of Sharon High School.

Prior to marriage she was employed at Protected Life Insurance Company for 6 years.

A homemaker, she was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Frances was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her husband, Frank R. Zickar, whom she married November 10, 1956, survives at home.

Zickar, whom she married November 10, 1956, survives at home; 3 daughters, Susan and her husband Nicola Stranieri of Brick, NJ, Nancy and her husband Jeffrey Mihlo of Sharon, PA, and Linda and her husband James Habinak of Cleveland, OH; a son, Keith J. and his wife Leisha Zickar of Pasadena, MD; 7 grandchildren, Mark and Andrew Stranieri, Carley and Evan Mihlo, Alexandra Habinak, and Keith Jr. and Justin Zickar.

Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. James A. Wiley; a granddaughter, Alexis Mihlo.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in the Church of Notre Dame with Rev. Henry Andrae, pastor of Sacred Heart Church.

Internment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
