Obituary

Frances A. Valle, 93, of 1739 Branch Vine Dr. West, Jacksonville, Florida and 958 Mayfield Rd., Sharpsville, PA; formerly of W. Washington St., New Castle, PA passed away at 1:10 a.m. Sunday (7-4-10) at the McGraw Hospice Center, Jacksonville, Florida.

Mrs. Valle was born September 6, 1916 in New Castle a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Ricci Nigro.

She was 1934 graduate of New Castle High School and a graduate of the former New Castle Business School.

Frances retired in 1987 from the former Brewster Company in New Castle where she was employed as the office manager for 25 years. She previously worked at the former Ayres Statuary, also New Castle.

She was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage; and a former longtime member of St. Mary's Church, New Castle. Frances was a great cook and enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she adored.

Her husband, Fred J. Valle, whom she married February 3, 1939, passed away July 14, 1974.

Surviving are: two daughters, Barbara Boyle and her husband William Boyle, Sharpsville, PA; and Virginia McCaslin and her husband Rev. James McCaslin, Jacksonville, Florida; four grandchildren, Major John Boyle serving with the U.S. Army and his wife Heather; Ryan Kaufman and his wife Rachel; Stacy Kaufman; and Cory Kaufman and his wife Tamara; seven great grandchildren, Benjamin, Elizabeth Ann, Jonathan, Matthew, Savanna, Rocco and Emma; and a sister, Effie Biasucci, Baltimore, Maryland.

Besides her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ann C. Boyle; a sister, Mary Graziani; and three brothers, Joseph, Peter and Andrew Nigro.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ann C. Boyle Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o The Community Foundation, 33 Chestnut St., Sharon, PA 16146.

Calling hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday (7-9-10) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday (7-10-10) in the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, with the Rev. Jeffery Noble, pastor, as celebrant.
