Frances 'Jean' Eagan Kumrow, 69 of 435 Kittery Ridge Drive, Apt 42, New Castle, passed away Thursday (2-11-10) in Allegheny General Hospital following an extended illness.

Born April 19, 1940 in New Castle she was the daughter of the late John T. Eagan and Frances E. Brown Eagan.

Jean retired from Nor Ric Dry Cleaners after 27 years; she also worked at New Castle Drug. She was a member of Christ the King Parish.

She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchild. She liked to do word searches, and go for rides.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Charles E. Kumrow Sr., two daughters, Jodi A. Kumrow and her companion Dexter Capece, and Catherine Ann Kumrow and her companion James Morrison, two sons Charles Kumrow Jr. and his wife LuAnn, and Robert J. Kumrow and his wife Jacqueline all of New Castle; ten grandchildren, Thomas E. Lutton, Nicholas A. Lutton of Kentucky, LuAnn Bulisco-Burdick of Maryland, Alexa Rae Kumrow II, Amber Jean Lutton, Robert John Kumrow II, Kevin Edward Taylor, Charles E. Kumrow III, Janesa D. Morrison, and William J. Kumrow, one great granddaughter, Larissa M. Lutton-Tovar.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Blanche Buzzi, and Mary Margaret Sanchez, one daughter Kimberly A. Kumrow.

Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday (2-15-10) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 111 W. Falls Street. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (2-16-10) for St. Mary Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.
