Frances Louise Davidson, 85, of New Castle, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, August 28, 2024, in Quality of Life Services.

Mrs. Davidson was born October 13, 1938, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of the late John B. and Veronica (Cernyar) Lamb of Princeton, PA. She started at Princeton School and graduated from Union Area High School in 1956.

Frances spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed looking after her family, gardening, and crafting at their home in the New Middletown area of Ohio. An exceptional cook and baker, Frances was well-known for her beautiful wedding cakes.

Frances was of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of Holy Spirit Parish of New Castle – St. Mary's Church.

She treasured her time as a volunteer with the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society's Daffodil Sales and Ducky Derby, and was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary in New Springfield, OH, where she volunteered for the Poppy Sales.

Frances is survived by a daughter-in-law, Brenda Veauthier Jurich, Longview, TX; a granddaughter, Madison Jurich; and a grandson, Michael Jurich, both of Bonita Springs, FL; three sisters, Jane Niglio (Joe), Nancy Hart, and Amy Lamb, all of New Castle; a brother, J.V. Lamb (Rita), of Mt. Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her first husband, George Jurich; second husband, Jim Davidson; a brother, Joseph Lamb; and two sons, Michael and Daniel Jurich.

Calling hour will be 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday (9-3-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Parish – St. Mary's Church, 124 N. Beaver St., New Castle, with Rev. Aaron Kriss, as celebrant.

Interment: Greenwood Cemetery, New Castle.
