Frances M. Barney of Hermitage passed away at 1:25 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016, in the Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage. She was 82.

Frances was born on June 19, 1934, in Millbrook, Pa, a daughter of Michael and Marge Bartolone. She worked as a cook in local restaurants, and also for a laundry service.

Surviving are: two daughters, Betty Myers and her companion Bill Beeler, Masury, OH; and Ruth Wagner and her husband Randy, Greenville; a son, Dale Barney, Conway, SC; grandchildren, Chasity Myers; Bobbi Shaffer and her husband Joshua; Jon Wagner and his wife Tiffany; Michelle Barney; and Matthew Barney; and twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Chad Barney; and several brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be Thursday (11/17/2016), from 1 p.m. until the time of the service in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.


Services will be Thursday (11/17/2016) at 3 p.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Frank Hodges, pastor of Hickory United Methodist, Officiating.
