Florence A. “Flo” Sollance, 83, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully with family at her side early Wednesday afternoon, September 30, 2026, in Clepper Manor, Sharon.

Mrs. Sollance was born February 13, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Ethel (Meister) Evanich, and graduated from Allegheny High School.

For 25 years, Flo worked at Denny’s Restaurant, retiring as the manager of the Hermitage location in 2014. Previously, she worked at Zayre’s Dept. Store, also in Hermitage.

Flo was a member of Sharpsville Church of the Nazarene.

Earlier in life, she enjoyed bowling and was a member of three leagues simultaneously, and traveled to different tournaments throughout the area. Flo liked to challenge herself with word puzzles and pass the time with crafts. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her beloved husband of 53 years, Christopher Sollance, whom she married on April 17, 1965, preceded her in death on August 13, 2008.

Flo is survived by her daughter, Lois Brewer (Bob), of Jamestown, PA; a sister, Marlene Painter (Tom), of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, David Madura (Kim), of Pittsburgh, PA, Teri Madura-Connelly (Shad), of Erie, PA, Ashley Clark, of Masury, OH, Danielle Taraczkozy (Nick), of Jamestown, PA, and Jessica McCreary-Barris (Jesse), of Hermitage; 10 great-grandchildren; Kaley, Logan, Jack, Claire, Noah, Alexia, Randy, Brodie, Mason, and Emma; and three nieces, Cindy, Dee Dee, and Chrissy.

In addition to her parents and husband, Flo was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” McCreary.

Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Monday (10-5-26) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.

A funeral service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home.
