Obituary

Florence Mae Beil Dout, formerly of Stone Ridge Blvd. and Maple Dr., Hermitage, passed away peacefully at 5:10 p.m. Sunday (3-18-12).She was 92.

Mrs. Dout was born June 24, 1919 in New Hamburg, PA the daughter of the late James E. and Edna Grace Saul Beil. She was a 1937 graduate of the Fredonia Institute, which is now known as Reynolds High School.

She retired in 1975 from Philadelphia Candies, Hermitage where she was a candy maker for ten years. Previously she had worked as a custodian for the Hermitage School District and during WWII at the General American Transportation Corporation, Masury, OH.

She was an active member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Hermitage and the Friendship Circle at the church.

She enjoyed gardening and is a former member of the New Hamburg Garden Club. 'Bubba' as she was known by many, also enjoyed making quilts, reading, especially Harlequin Romance Books and attending the many activities and sporting events involving her great grandchildren.

She was a volunteer for the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, St. Paul's Home, Greenville and the Operating Engineer Union Local #66, Boardman, OH.

Her husband, Arthur W. Dout, whom she married October 7, 1937, died April 15, 1987.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy 'Dottie' Stefanak, Hermitage and Wanda E. Spangler and her husband Robert S., Bruceton Mills, WV; three grandchildren, Rhonda Yarzab and her husband, Joseph, Jerry Stefanak and his wife Kellee and Robert Spangler, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Alicia Kearney and her husband Matt, Amanda and Andrea Stefanak and Marie and Joseph Yarzab; a step great granddaughter Jolynn Rodemoyer and her husband Ryan, and two step great great grandchildren, Jade and Brynn Rodemoyer.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Juanita Dout; five brothers, James, Charles, Howard, Ralph and Richard Beil and two sisters, Helen Eastlick and Marie McClimans.

Calling hours: 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (3-20-12) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State Street, Sharon, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday (3-21-12) in St. Paul's United Church of Christ 159 Todd Ave., Hermitage.
