Evelyn Dec Herbert, 95, of 110 West Fairmont Ave. and recently of South Pointe at Jameson South, passed away on Friday morning December 9, 2011 at Jameson Hospital.
Evelyn was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 11, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lucille Leblanch.
She was first married to Frank Dec and after his death she later married Harry Herbert, who also preceded her in death.
Evelyn was a member of St. Camillus Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Joan Gulfus, of New York, Dottie Bray, of New Castle, with whom she made her home, Sally Dec, of Akron, OH, Stan Dec, of Ellwood City, Walter Dec, of New Castle, Kathy Oprean, of New Castle ,along with many other great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a sister Eileen, a sister in law Joan Presnar, three brother in laws, Joseph, Walter and Louie Dec.
Calling hours will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday for St. Camillus Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Thomas J. Lewandowski, Pastor.
Interment will be in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where Evelyn had lived for over forty years. She will be interred beside her husband's.
