Evan "Terry" Carter of Sharon passed away at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, in Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage. He was 78.

Mr. Carter was born December 26, 1939, in Austintown, OH, and was a 1958 graduate of Chaney High School, Youngstown, OH. He was employed for several years as an over the road truck driver. Terry retired from Nagle Companies, Walbridge, OH. Following his retirement he delivered parts for Hovis Auto and Truck Supply, Hermitage.

Terry attended Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and participated in bowling leagues throughout his life. Terry enjoyed fishing, golfing, dancing, horseback riding and watching TV, especially old movies.

He is survived by three daughters, Pamela Holley; Wendy (Brett) Howard; and Kathy (Ron) Kish; five sons, Charles (Nadine) Mazur; Troy Mazur; Terry (Jen) Carter; Tom Carter; and Tim (Nikki) Carter; seventeen grandchildren, Luke (Laura) Scattergood; Jacob (Courtney) Scattergood; Joshua (Railie) Holley; Rebekah Holley and her Fiance' Matthew Burk; Sophia and Katheryn Howard; Joseph, Sarah and Troy Mazur; Colton, Trista, Alex, Isaiah, Mikaela and Kayden Carter; and Ben and Josie Kish; six great grandchildren, Lucy, Levi, Lincoln, Olivia, Miah and Ava; and his companion, Rose Settle and her family.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mary (Magee) and Pete Zubal; a grandson, Charles; three brothers, Mickey, Larry and Robert Carter; and a step-brother, John Zubal.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday (05/26/2018) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be at noon, Saturday, in the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Whitman, officiating.

Burial: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
