Ethel M. Crable,83 ,a former Warren Ave. resident,passed away on Wednesday evening November 25,2009 at Majors Manor Personal Care Home in Slippery Rock Twp.

Ethel was born in New Castle on May 5,1926 to the late Thomas J. and Elizabeth Preisel McGuire. She married Paul Eugene Crable on October 12,1963 and he preceded her in death on March 27,2008.Ethel loved being with children and her family. She received an award from the New Castle City Council for putting children on and off the school bus every day for many years.She was a very talented seamstress and made many Halloween costumes for many children over the years. Ethel was a member of St. Joseph The Worker Church.

She is survived one sister Bertie Siebanoller,of Strongsville,Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her special care giver Kim Majors.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home & Crematory,Inc. 111 W. Falls St..

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, William McGuire,and three sisters,Rose McGuire,Loretta M. Smiley and Betty M. Callahan Hilbert.
