Esther L. Zulkanycz, 62, of Hermitage, formerly of Pearland, TX, passed away Saturday evening, January 12, 2019, in Sharon Regional Medical Center, following a brief battle with cancer.

Esther was born March 28, 1956, in Sharon, a daughter of Wasyl and Mary Zulkanycz. She was a 1974 graduate of Hickory High School and later completed training at the former Grove City Beauty School to earn her cosmetology certification.

While living in Texas, Esther owned and operated an automotive customization business. In recent years, she had returned to the Shenango Valley to care for her parents.

Esther attended First Assembly of God Church, Hermitage.

She enjoyed gardening and following NASCAR, watching many of the races on television.

Esther is survived by her mother, Mary Zulkanycz, and a sister, Helen Zulkanycz, both of Hermitage; three brothers, Daniel (Lisa) Zulkanycz, of Alaska, David (Pamela) Zulkanycz, of So. Cal., and Samuel Zulkanycz, of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

Esther was preceded in death by her father, Wasyl Zulkanycz.

A private funeral service will be held by the family.

Interment: Moorefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
