Esther Templeton Jones Boyle, formerly of Sharon, Conneaut Lake, and Estero, Fla., passed away at 12:10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, in O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center, Masury, where she was a resident for the past five years. She was 91. Mrs. Boyle was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Sharpsville, a daughter of Robert R. and Lenora E. Alderman Templeton. A lifelong area resident, she attended Hermitage schools. Esther retired in 1989 from what was then Packard Electric Corp., where she was employed for 19 years. A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Sharon. Esther was a member of the former Sharon Junior and Senior Women's Club and participated in their Follies at Sharon High School. She also was a former Girl Scout leader and was involved with the PTA when her children were attending school. Esther modeled clothing during the 1950s for the former Sharon Store and Whitmer-Smith's and was a contestant in the Mrs. America pageant in 1958. She was a member of the Red Hat Society while living in Florida and, years earlier, was active in politics. Her first husband, William C. Jones, whom she married Feb. 11, 1941, passed away May 30, 1972. Her second husband, William C. Boyle, whom she married July 28, 1989, passed away Oct. 16, 2003. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra J. Leipheimer and her husband Robert W., Conneaut Lake; Janie A. Nix, Hermitage; and Marsha S. Jones, Masury; a son, William A. Jones and his wife Debbie, Harrisburg; four sisters, Pat Varconda, Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Sharon; Eleanor Smith, Brookfield; Joan Polkovitch, a resident of John XXIII Home, Hermitage; and Mary Ellen Bennett, Sharpsville; a brother, Paul Templeton and his wife Carol, Conneaut Lake; eight grandchildren, John, Jay and Jerry Leipheimer; Holly Frankenbery; Heather Small; Elizabeth Mistretta; and Patrick and Kimberly Jones; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; many nieces and nephews; two stepdaughters, Janice Stevens and Faye Consiglio, both Cleveland; and two stepgrandchildren, Chad Hankins and Kelly Stevens. In addition to her husbands and her parents, Esther was preceded in death by three sisters, Phyllis Evans, Ruth Hughes and Gladys Santelli; and three brothers, Rye, Charles and Perry Templeton.
