Erla J. Rombold, 82, of Hermitage, passed away Thursday evening, Nov. 16, 2023, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Rombold was born on July 6, 1941, in Clark, a daughter of the late Harry and Dora (English) Snyder. She attended the former Clark School and graduated in 1959 from Sharpsville High School.
A dedicated homemaker, she began her working career at Victor Printing and JCPenny. Later, she helped her husband run his HVAC business, Fred Rombold Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Erla was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Hermitage, where she was on the bulletin committee and attended the church book club.
An avid reader, she also enjoyed bowling and traveling with her husband, Fred.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick Rombold, whom she married on April 23, 1960; a daughter, Lisa Leali and her husband J. Randall, San Diego, Calif.; a son, Rick David Rombold and his wife Celeste, Clarion; seven grandchildren, Anthony (Liz) Rombold, Camille Rombold, Nicholas Rombold, Mario Rombold, Danae (Steve) Hudson, Brittany (Curtis) Workman and Max Leali; one great-grandchild, Maggie Rombold; and a sister, Viola DeCiancio and her husband John, Vienna, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Erla was preceded in death by a sister, Lila Gill; and two brothers, Samuel and Lester Snyder.
Calling hours: 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday (11-20-23) in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3325 Morefield Road, Hermitage.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday in the church, with Rev. Dennis Blauser, pastor, officiating.
Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
