Losing a loved one is a difficult and painful experience. On February 9, 2024, Eric D. Emerich was taken unexpectedly.

Eric was born on December 12, 1963, in Farrell, a son of William and Judith (Keeler) Emerich, Sr. He was a 1982 graduate of Hickory High School.

At age 17, he began working for Hilti Inc. After 41 years of employment, Eric along with Cheryl, purchased the repair machine shop in 2021, which they currently operated as Sisco LLC, New Castle, PA.

In 1988, he met Cheryl A. McFarland, in every sense of the word, they were true partners, who built an incredible life of joy and love.

Eric was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 82, Hermitage.

He is survived by his parents of Chandler, AZ; his partner, Cheryl, Hermitage; two brothers, William R. Emerich, Jr. and his wife Renee, Hermitage, and Kelly Emerich and his wife Kristin, Chandler, AZ; four nieces and nephews, Taylor, Rylee, Quentin and Joseph Emerich. His pets, Luke, Daisy and Mannie will miss him.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Humane Society of Mercer County, PO Box 1046, Hermitage, PA 16148.

Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday (02/15/2024) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Aaron Lego, officiating.
